  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Method

How to Make Beef and Broccoli
  1. Begin by slicing the beef flank steak into thin, even strips about ¼ inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Allow it to marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Warm up a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in the sesame oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for about 3 minutes until browned.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry with the beef for an additional 3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in the low-sodium beef broth, stirring well to blend the flavors together. Let it simmer for a minute.
  6. Plate your Beef and Broccoli hot, optionally served over rice or noodles.
