For Final Touches
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to taste
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley Optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Cast-iron skillet
  • Small bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. This blackening seasoning will infuse bold flavor into your steak and shrimp.
  3. Generously rub the blackening seasoning on both sides of the sirloin or ribeye steak. Ensure every inch is coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat and add the butter. Sear the steak for about 4–5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for slicing.
  2. In the same skillet, add a splash of butter if needed. Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant, then toss in the seasoned shrimp. Cook for about 3–4 minutes until they turn pink.
  3. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens slightly, then mix in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  4. Add the drained fettuccine, sliced steak, and shrimp into the sauce, tossing gently to combine everything. Garnish with chopped parsley.
