Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Mix melted butter with granulated sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and then stir in pure vanilla extract.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and shredded coconut in another bowl. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the chopped cherries and pour everything into your prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
