Cooking Steps
- Prepare ingredients. Begin by chopping the garlic and zesting the lemons.
- Sear the chicken. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Cook the potatoes. Remove cooked chicken and add halved potatoes to the pan. Cook until golden brown and tender, about 10 minutes.
- Add garlic and sauce ingredients. Lower the heat, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds), then stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice and zest. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine and meld flavors. Return seared chicken to skillet, nestling it among potatoes. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish and serve. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving hot.
