  • 1 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Large eggs
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
For Dusting
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream the softened butter with light brown sugar and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract, beating well after each addition.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool in the dish for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
