Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually pour in 3/4 cup of warm water while stirring.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- While the dough rises, preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface until it reaches your desired thickness.
- Spread 1/4 cup of pesto sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Top your pizza with 1 cup of assorted seasonal vegetables.
- Before baking, brush the crust with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Place your pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes.
- Once out of the oven, top your pizza with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of cracked black pepper.
