How to Make Honey Soy Marinade
- In a bowl, whisk together the low-sodium soy sauce and honey until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
- Incorporate the minced garlic and sesame oil (if using) into the marinade, stirring well to meld those aromatic flavors together.
- Place your choice of protein, like chicken breasts or tofu, in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the prepared marinade over it.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill or bake your marinated protein at 400°F (200°C) until it is fully cooked through.
- Serve your dish alongside rice or sautéed vegetables, and drizzle any leftover marinade on top for extra flavor.
