How to Make Italian Turkey Meatballs
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Combine gently until just integrated.
- Use your hands or an ice cream scoop to form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, browning each side for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Pour marinara sauce over the browned meatballs in the skillet. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Plate your hot meatballs with extra sauce, if desired. Garnish with fresh basil or a sprinkle of additional parmesan cheese.
