  • 1 cup Plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

How to Make Italian Turkey Meatballs
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Combine gently until just integrated.
  2. Use your hands or an ice cream scoop to form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, browning each side for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Pour marinara sauce over the browned meatballs in the skillet. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Plate your hot meatballs with extra sauce, if desired. Garnish with fresh basil or a sprinkle of additional parmesan cheese.
