- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg whites in a clean bowl using an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to mix until you achieve stiff peaks and a glossy mixture.
- Fold in the vanilla extract and green food coloring gently.
- Pipe tree shapes onto the prepared baking sheets using a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Bake for about 2 hours until the meringues are dry and crisp.
