  • 1 cup unsalted peanut butter preferably natural
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl until well combined.
  3. Mix the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine the dry mixture gradually with the wet ingredients, stirring until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
  7. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
