Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Warm water
  • 2 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni slices or vegetables for a veggie option
  • 1/4 cup Pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup Extra cheese for topping
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil chopped, for garnishing

How to Make Pizza Rolls
  1. Mix the Dough: Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a larger bowl, mix flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until combined.
  2. Knead: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the Filling: While the dough rises, mix your desired fillings in a bowl.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Fill: Cut your dough into squares (about 3x3 inches). Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square.
  7. Seal: Fold the corners of the dough over the filling and pinch them together to seal tightly.
  8. Preheat Oven: While you prepare your pizza rolls, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Top and Bake: Place rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with extra cheese and parmesan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Garnish: Let cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle with fresh basil before serving.
