- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large casserole dish.
- Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, pepper, and onion powder in a mixing bowl until well combined and frothy.
- Combine the cooked sausage and cubed bread into the egg mixture, along with half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Gently fold the ingredients together.
- Pour the mixture into your greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until puffed up and golden brown.
- Cool the casserole slightly for about 5 minutes before slicing into squares and serve warm.
