How to Make Shrimp Scampi
  1. Prepare ingredients: Begin by mincing the garlic, chopping the parsley, and squeezing the lemon juice. Having everything ready will make the cooking process smooth and enjoyable!
  2. Heat skillet: In a large skillet over medium heat, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow them to melt together until they are well blended and bubbly.
  3. Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute. Keep an eye on it; you want it fragrant and golden, but not burnt.
  4. Cook shrimp: Gently place the shrimp in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Simmer sauce: Pour in the dry white wine and lemon juice. Let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.
  6. Finish with butter: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter along with the chopped parsley, mixing until well combined and creamy.
  7. Serve immediately: Dish out your delightful Shrimp Scampi over al dente pasta or serve it with crusty bread to soak up that luscious sauce!
