Ingredients
  

Biscotti Base
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour spooned and leveled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toasted almonds optional

Method
 

Biscotti Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Beat the softened butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough on a floured surface into two logs about 2 inches wide and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly, slice the logs diagonally, and return them to the baking sheet. Bake again for an additional 10–15 minutes until crisp.
