Preparation Steps
  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly under cold water and dry each piece with a paper towel.
  2. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil without stirring.
  3. Add lemon juice once syrup is boiling.
  4. Monitor syrup temperature using a candy thermometer; it should reach 300°F (150°C).
  5. Dip each fruit skewer into the hot syrup and let excess syrup drip off.
  6. Cool skewers at room temperature before serving.
