Liquid Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon zest of orange from 1 orange
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  3. Incorporate cold butter cubes into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine heavy cream and orange zest in a separate bowl. Pour this into the dry ingredients with dried cranberries and white chocolate chips. Mix gently until just combined.
  5. Pat the dough onto a floured surface, shaping it into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into wedges or use a round cutter.
  6. Arrange the scones on your baking sheet with space between them for rising.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
